Blowing It!

I was in Austin to work at the Fun Fun Fun Fest. I sat at a table and helped folks pick out free Incase iphone / pod cases. I ended up drinking beerz and forgetting to document my experiences. I got blasted and took a bunch of nonsense photos that were all a surprise the next day.

DESTROYER.

Arls and Seth from Le Savy Fav.

Here is another fascinating shot of Arl and the other guy from Le Savy Fav.

Ohhh, but this one is pretty. Even in my drunkest hour, I can still take a nice photo of Tammy.

Hey, beer... STOP LOOKING AT ME!

Oh, this is me chewing on my arm / sucking my own blood / not really sure.

The second day of the festival I was wickedly hung over and it was pouring down rain. It was so muddy and wet, I wasn't inspired to take photos. Notable bands that I neglected to photograph cuz I was dumping beer down my face: DANZIG, HEALTH (my fave), and other ones I can't remember.

The Whip In. Good Indian food.

HOUSTON ALL STARS

That last post inspired me to share this monster jam
packed with H-town giants.

Tejas

Flyin' to Austin.

That's H-Town down there. Had a stop in Houston, forced to chill at the Bush (barf) Intercontinental airport. Wish I had a chance to leave and explore the home of some of my favorite and most beloved rappers. The birthland of chopped and screwed, Paul Wall, Bun B, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Pimp C (rip), DJ Screw (rip). I got special warm places in my heart for you Houston.

Texas sun.

We stayed in this tree house hippy hut. It was cute.

Supposedly flying fox bats live back here.

I got to sleep on the mosquito net enclosed kitchen/ patio. Came face to face with a couple of crawly creatures.

The adult room.

Arls, testing out one of my bed choices.

This is Jessica!!! Her and her husband now live in Austin. She was featured a few blog posts ago in the 90's tribute. In Jr High we lived down the street from each other. She looks real innocent now, but back then we were baaaaaaaaad. Ruthless T.P-ing, relentless sneaking out, prank calls, she broke my thumb! She also reminded me of the time we went to see Color Me Badd at the Puyallup fair. At the end of the concert the band's limo drove by us. We ran and stuck our hands in their car and one of the dudes kissed her hand and gave us their phone number and hotel information! Yuck... WE WERE IN JR HIGH!!!!!

Jess is now a wonderful mother. While hanging out with her in the Austin suburbs, I learned that having huge blow-up holiday decorations in your yard is all the rage.

Gobble!

Washing-ton(s) O' Fun

I'm back! My old camera broke, and then I lost the loaner camera I had ( probably not a good idea to loan me stuff)...yet despite these great obstacles I have managed to return to blogging because people need to read about the time I ate a delicious sandwich or see photos of the various cats in my life. So here is the debut of the new digital camera I purchased on the Overstock.comzz. Let's see how long this one lasts. At least it was bought on the cheap. -$

Flew up Washington to visit my BFF Christy (aka, Crystal Crotch) and her new baby. We met in 7th grade. She walked up to me in art class and told me we were going to be friends. I didn't argue with her, she was cool and obnoxious. I was shy and loved to hide behind people with large personalities. Perfect union.

Here she is. Still one of the funniest people I know.

Mt. Rainier. I used to stare at this mountain everyday! Wow. I grew up with this majestic beauty on the regular, and it didn't even phase me. Now when I see it, it rightfully blows my mind.

Much like the feeling I get when I look at Chucky the white cat / bear / person.

BLAM! It's Everly, the spawn of my most amazing and hilarious friend. I am once again Aunt Kelley. This baby will without a doubt grow up to be wickedly funny, strong, and most definitely, loud!

Brought Everly her very own Sloth, so she can look at it and be reminded her Auntie's spirit animal.

Chucky. Staring Halloween in the face.

The face of a handsome angel...

The face of a killer.

Photo Mash-up

Biker love.

Took this photo at an art exhibition's closing performance. People were dressed in solid colors and movin' around all fast. Looks swoooshy and trippy.

Crazy for cat paws! These are special, there are extra toes. Mitten feet! I just remembered they're called Hemingway Cats.

Have you ever been to Clifton's Cafeteria on Broadway? What a treasure! Animatronic woodland creatures, endless jello and pie, woodsy themed atmosphere... FUN!

After you eat your weird pie you can go hang out in a strange steeple.

This is my baby niece Ivy... who found herself getting the Sloth treatment.

Took myself on a hot date to the old LACMA and La Brea Tar Pits. Doing some research for a top secret art project.

PIT OF DOOM.

A family in peril.

Oh snap. That's some trouble.

That sad little fake elephant baby's distress kinda breaks my heart.

That is an inappropriate pose!

Nice expression.

Wall of Dire Wolf skullzzzz.

I'm a big fan of sloth hands.

That sloth looks hella bummed to be in that situation.

Found myself in La Canada around the time the Angeles National Forest fire started. Heart crushing. I love that forest.

To quote the illustrious Arlie Carstens, living in L.A. has been like "living inside a flaming orange cotton ball". Yeah I guess, kinda.

Wow, I've rediscovered this jam and it's inspiring me in major ways. This song has been making me DAAAAAAAAAANNNCE!!! I'M EVEN DANCING RIGHT NOW!!!
