This year my birthday came at an inconvenient time. I was hired to do a cool art related job and it was due, like the next day! I couldn't do anything fun, I worked all day (except for a cheeseburger break). But at night, I broke loose and got all kinds of loopy. I danced on stuff, I hugged a chalkboard*see above photo, I acted a fool, I ripped my dress playing ping pong... YAY ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL BIRTHDAY!!

Rounded out the majestic beauty voyage with a stay in a suite at the Palms Place in Las Vegas. Ate steak and drank $30 a class scotch. I aight' braggin though. Happy Valentines Day.

I know I'm kinda late to this party, but WHOA I love Kate Bush. This is a new love too. This appreciation has come of late.... well, since I scooped up her tape at the Goodwill. But since then I've listened to it non-stop, obsessing like my teenage self who just discovered Morrissey.

She wrote this song when she was a teenager, and used her record contract advance to enroll in INTERPRETIVE DANCE CLASSES!! I'm so in love. This song also inspired me to read / watch all the versions of "Wuthering Heights" I could find.
P.S... the BBC version that is available on Netflix streaming will make you rethink your crush on Tom Hardy. Dude is sexy and all, but he makes a broke looking Heathcliff.

This video is amazing. I studied experimental theater in college, so absurdist theatrics get me EXCITED! It's like Ubu Roi on roller skates.

Kate has inspired me to do a mystical, witchy psychedelic photo shoot with myself. All you need is a dumb tie dyed hippy shall that your friend gave you, photo booth on your laptop, and some sort of photoshop like program and BLAM-O you got yourself a tripped out photo party.

The church actually has a pretty great gift shop.

I like how Saint Christopher's powers of protection have been updated to reflect the modern times. You'll now be safe riding a "crotch rocket" and ridin' on the AMTRAK! Almost immediately after purchase, this came in handy. Some lady attempted to ram her car into us, and St. Christopher stepped in and denied that bi@ch.

Remember last post, where I said I've been really well behaved lately.... well that is old news!! KB went BONKERS. To celebrate the memorial day weekend, I decided to memorialize my party girl past. Ouch! That lifestyle hurts.

Arrived at the Cha Cha, Ayana lookin slamin'. No pictures of the inside of the bar, cuz I was too focused on my beer can. No pictures of the fried chicken sandwich I ate afterwards either.

Aaaaaand the Oscar for my favorite movie goes to... Up! Well not the entire movie, just the beginning. I don't think my guts will ever be the same. I cried so hard, but not on the outside. The theater was packed, and I didn't want to bawl at the volume I wanted to, so I held it in. Ouch, I can still feel the pain in my side and throat. I rarely get all smooshy at the movies, but this annihilated me... AND THERE WASN'T EVEN ANY WORDS!!!!

Oh, and BTW, I am FEELING this song. My mind's been kinda gloomy and I've been in need of an uplifting jam... THIS IS IT!

Today in L.A. it's 55 degrees and pouring down rain. It's been like this for the last 4 days and my mind is starting to play tricks on me. Having to stay inside has got me thinking about being somewhere else. Today my daydreams have taken me to Norway. The above picture is a depiction of me in a small fishing village smoking a pipe and wearing a digital yellow rain jacket. The upside down cross on my face is in honor of Norway's rich Black Metal history. Also, I would probably be visiting Norway with a floating Swedish Chef... cuz that's how my daydreams work.
